SOLARIS – Germanium Fuzz / Boost
The Solaris is not a fuzz that shouts. It’s a fuzz that listens.
Built around a hand-biased germanium circuit, Solaris moves smoothly from subtle tone enhancement to warm overdrive and rich, organic fuzz, with exceptional cleanup controlled directly from the guitar’s volume knob.
At lower settings, it adds density, harmonics, and natural midrange without masking the character of the guitar or amp. Pushed further, it delivers a musical, textured fuzz that stays articulate and dynamic, never harsh or fizzy. It also works exceptionally well into an already driven gain stage or a saturated amp, adding sustain, texture, and complexity without turning the sound to mush.
The circuit uses an OC45 or OC602 SPEZ in Q1, while Q2 varies depending on the build—typically MP42, OC44, or other carefully selected germanium transistors—each choice subtly shaping the feel, response, and saturation.
Hand-built with premium components and meticulous wiring, Solaris is designed as an extension of the player and the amplifier.
Not the most extreme fuzz, just the one you leave on.
TIPS
Tip 01
Start with the Gain low and the Level high.
The Pacific 131 is designed to feel like a cranked British amp, adding harmonics and touch sensitivity before obvious distortion.
Tip 02
Use your guitar’s volume knob.
Leave the Pacific always on and shape your sound directly from the guitar, from sparkling cleans to rich overdrive.
Tip 03
Stack it after a boost.
A treble boost or light overdrive before the Pacific tightens the lows and brings out singing upper mids.
Tip 04
Build your foundation first.
Dial in the Pacific as your core tone, then add fuzz, boost or delay around it. Everything reacts more naturally.
Tip 05
Try it with the Radium.
The Pacific lays the foundation while the Radium adds bite, upper mids and sustain without losing dynamics.
