SOLARIS – Germanium Fuzz / Boost

The Solaris is not a fuzz that shouts. It’s a fuzz that listens.

Built around a hand-biased germanium circuit, Solaris moves smoothly from subtle tone enhancement to warm overdrive and rich, organic fuzz, with exceptional cleanup controlled directly from the guitar’s volume knob.

At lower settings, it adds density, harmonics, and natural midrange without masking the character of the guitar or amp. Pushed further, it delivers a musical, textured fuzz that stays articulate and dynamic, never harsh or fizzy. It also works exceptionally well into an already driven gain stage or a saturated amp, adding sustain, texture, and complexity without turning the sound to mush.

The circuit uses an OC45 or OC602 SPEZ in Q1, while Q2 varies depending on the build—typically MP42, OC44, or other carefully selected germanium transistors—each choice subtly shaping the feel, response, and saturation.

Hand-built with premium components and meticulous wiring, Solaris is designed as an extension of the player and the amplifier.

Not the most extreme fuzz, just the one you leave on.

Start with the Fuzz high.

The Solaris is designed to deliver rich germanium warmth, natural compression and exceptional touch sensitivity. Let your guitar do the rest.

Tip 02

Use your guitar’s volume knob.

This is where the Solaris truly shines. Roll back for sparkling cleans, turn up for rich overdrive and push it all the way for smooth, singing fuzz.

Tip 03

Place it first in your signal chain.

Like a classic Fuzz Face, the Solaris loves interacting directly with your guitar’s pickups. Avoid placing buffers before it for the most natural response.

Tip 04

Push an already driven amp.

The Solaris isn’t just about fuzz. Into a crunchy amp, it adds thickness, harmonics and sustain while preserving your playing dynamics.

Tip 05

Find your sweet spot.

Experiment with the Fuzz control and your guitar’s volume. Sometimes, the most inspiring tones are found between clean and fuzz. That’s where the magic happens.
